JACKSONVILLE, IL (07/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Kathryn Stroud of Howard City was among the students recognized on April 27 when the liberal arts college held its annual Celebration of Excellence, a daylong celebration that allowed students and faculty to take part in activities that commend academic excellence, a hallmark of the college since its founding in 1829.
Stroud, a sophomore, was awarded the Donald R. Eldred Scholarship for Leadership in Campus Life, the Paul F. Watkins Journalism Prize, the Ruth Melville Bellatti Music Honor Scholarship, the Raymond L. Gillmore, II Memorial Scholarship, the Malcolm Smith Travel Award and was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta.
The Tri-County Area High School graduate is the daughter of Robert and Terri Stroud of Howard City.
