Katie Butler Named to All-Tournament team

SPARTANBURG, SC (09/17/2012)(readMedia)--  Freshman Katie Butler (Savannah, GA)  was named to the Fairfield Inn and Suites Azalea Classic All-Tournament Team for her performance this past weekend. Her best performance came in the second match of the first day against Coastal Georgia were she recorded a .286 attack percentage on 12 kils and six digs. Butler finished the four-game tournament with 34 kills, 16 digs and one assist. Florida Tech and Lander each had two players voted to the team, while Coastal Georgia and Albany State each had one player selected. Valdesto State had four players nominated to the team and received Libero of the Tournament honors.

"I'm excited to be representing Converse and for the honor since I am a freshman," says Butler.
