SPARTANBURG, SC (01/28/2010)(readMedia)-- Katie Elizabeth Kessler, a senior at Springboro High School, has been awarded an Anna Todd Wofford Scholarship at Wofford College.

Kessler is a member of the class of 2014. Parents: Curt and Shelly Kessler (2697 Pennyroyal Road, Miamisburg, Ohio, 45342).

Ninety percent of Wofford's enrolled students receive approximately $32 million in scholarships, grants and loans each year. Each of the endowed scholarship funds requires that recipients demonstrate outstanding character, academic achievement, and potential for contribution to society; some have additional requirements for eligibility.

The Anna Todd Wofford Scholarships were established in 1973 to honor the memory of the first wife of Benjamin Wofford, founder of the college. These scholarships are awarded annually to female students nominated by their high schools and selected by Wofford College as possessing outstanding qualities of scholarship, leadership and character.
