Kayla Browning receives Central Penn College Health Sciences award

Central Penn College Health Sciences has announced its winter 2021 Perseverance and Leadership Awards.

The Perseverance Award was presented to phlebotomy student Kayla Browning, of Lykens, Pa.

Her professor's nomination reads:

"Kayla Browning is in her third term of the phlebotomy program and has demonstrated that no matter what life throws in her path, she is going to keep on striving to succeed.

"She has experienced numerous personal issues that have caused financial and emotional strain. Through it all, she has kept up with her school work doing a exemplary job on work submitted.

"She continues to stay professional and demonstrates a positive attitude to her peers even during her recent struggles. Kayla communicates with her professors on a consistent basis to keep us update with challenges she faces. Kayla is determined to continue and finish the phlebotomy certificate so she can work in the field to provide for her children."
