Kelcey Anderson Receives Ripon College Leone Oyster Scholarship and Prize

RIPON, WI (05/04/2010)(readMedia)--  Kelcey Anderson, a junior majoring in chemistry from Menomonie, Wis., was named the recipient of the 2010 Leone Oyster, Class of 1919, Memorial Scholarship and Prize during a ceremony held April 21, 2010 at Ripon College.

 The Leone Oyster, Class of 1919, Memorial Scholarship and Prize recognizes a junior majoring in chemistry or chemistry/biology with at least a 3.0 grade average in chemistry. The prize includes a cash award and tuition credit. The recipient is chosen by members of the chemistry faculty, and must posses the qualities of scholarship and hard work that characterized Professor Oyster, a member of the department of chemistry from 1920 to 1962.

 Anderson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Anderson of Menomonie, Wis.
