Kellenberg Memorial Celebrates 100th Student Certified in Bloomberg Financial Program

Kellenberg Memorial High School proudly announces a milestone achievement: the certification of its 100th student through the Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) program, offered in partnership with Molloy University.

Since its launch during the 2018-2019 academic year, the Bloomberg certification program has given students a competitive edge in the world of finance and business. Facilitated by Kellenberg faculty moderators Peggy York and John Heitner, the program resumed full operations in 2021 following pandemic-related disruptions, certifying 20 students annually since then.

Through the generous support of Molloy University-who offers their Bloomberg Terminal-equipped facility free of charge-students travel to campus six times per year to complete the interactive, self-paced BMC course. This professional certification introduces students to key financial concepts, including economic indicators, currencies, fixed income, and equities. Many colleges now require BMC certification for graduation from business programs, giving Kellenberg students a distinct advantage before even entering college.
