Kevin Diemer Voted NACC Men's Basketball South Division Player of the Week

Rockford University junior forward Kevin Diemer was recognized by two different organizations today for his outstanding play on the court this past week. Diemer was selected to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week and was also named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball South Division Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. This marks the first time in his career that Diemer has been named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week and is his second NACC weekly award.

Kevin Diemer recorded a pair of double-doubles last week and averaged 32.5 points on 82.5% shooting, 14.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1 steal to lead Rockford to a perfect 2-0 record in NACC play. He opened with a career-high 41 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal in Rockford's 87-71 win over Concordia Chicago on Friday. Diemer then poured in 24 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in the Regents' 82-68 victory on Saturday.

The RU men's basketball team returns to the court on Friday, February 19 at Dominican University. Tip-off between the Regents and Stars is set for 5:00 PM.
