STAUNTON, VA (05/04/2011)(readMedia)-- On Saturday, May 7th, 2011 over 53 agencies and organizations from the greater Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro area will join forces at the Gym in Gypsy Hill Park to support and protect our community's Children. Saturdays' event begins at 10am and concludes at 1pm. Kids Matter Day is an annual Spring event with the mission to promote public awareness of child health and safety issues through a community celebration. Activities will focus on child safety awareness, child abuse and neglect prevention, healthy children, strong families and PLAY - the work of childhood. The event is free to all families.
