Klara Nichter of Louisville Presents Scholarly Work at International Convention

EVANSVILLE, IN (03/16/2012)(readMedia)-- The University of Evansville is proud to announce that Louisville resident Klara Nichter recently presented her scholarly work at the international conference of Sigma Tau Delta, an English honor society.

Nichter's paper, entitled "Gogol's Inferno," focused on 19th-century Russian writer Nikolai Gogol. It was presented at the Sigma Tau Delta convention, which took place February 29-March 3 in New Orleans.

Nichter, a graduate of Louisville Classical Academy, is majoring in history at UE.

Sigma Tau Delta, an international English honor society, has over 800 active chapters in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. The organization's central purpose is to confer distinction upon students of the English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies.
