MILLERSVILLE, PA (10/18/2011)(readMedia)-- Krissa C. Wagner of New Providence, Pa., has been selected to receive the Drs. Helen A. '64 and George F. Stine Freshman Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman at Millersville University who is a graduate of Solanco High School.
Wagner is attending Millersville as a social sciences education major. She studied several courses at an advanced level and some at an Advanced Placement (AP) level while at Solanco, including English, biology, chemistry and AP statistics. Wagner was an active member of the Yearbook and Interact Clubs, a volunteer for the Wakefield Ambulance Corps and was involved with her church youth group.
The Stine Scholarship is an award of $176 made possible through the generosity of Dr. George Stine, a retired Millersville University professor of sociology and his wife Helen, an alumna of the University.
