LVC Hosts "Celebrating Our Heritage: An Expression of the Dream"
Martin Luther King Jr. remembered in performance Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. in Leedy Theater
ANNVILLE, PA (01/11/2012)(readMedia)-- After a long day of community service, Lebanon Valley College students will come together to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with an evening of song of dance on Monday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. in Leedy Theater of the Mund College Center.
"Celebrating Our Heritage: An Expression of the Dream" will include performances by the Imani Edutainers African Dance Troupe and the McCaskey High School Gospel Choir. The program is free and open to the public.
Additionally, the evening will showcase the top three student writers in the MLK Day Essay Contest, sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs at LVC. Essays respond to the theme and highlight personal experiences, observations, and philosophies of Dr. King.
