LVC Welcomes Comedian Lauren Ashley Bishop to the Stage

ANNVILLE, PA (01/12/2011)(readMedia)-- Lauren Ashley Bishop may seem like an innocent southern belle, but don't be fooled. There is a razor sharp wit behind her debutante smile that earned her Campus Activities Magazine's 2009 Hot Up and Coming Comic. She will perform her stand up routine in the Leedy Theater of the Mund College Center on Jan. 21 on 9 p.m.

Born in Arkansas, Bishop moved to Chicago where she attended Northwestern University and earned a bachelor's degree in theatre. She is an accomplished stage actress and has performed in Second City's Romeo & Juliet Musical at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues at The Apollo Theatre, and the National Broadway Tour of Scrooge, The Musical. Bishop has performed at well-known clubs such as The Improv, Zanies, The Ice House, Comix, & Gotham Comedy Club.

Bishop can also be seen or heard in television and radio ads for Mini Baby Bel Cheese, Arby's "Birthday Surprise," and Popeye's "Mama Chicken Slap."
