ANNVILLE, PA (04/04/2011)(readMedia)-- The Wig and Buckle Theater Company at Lebanon Valley College will present the final performance of its 75th Anniversary Season, You Can't Take It With You, April 8–17 in the Leedy Theater of the Mund College Center.
Evening performances are scheduled for April 8, 10, 15, and 17 at 8 p.m. Daytime shows are scheduled for April 9 and 16 at 2 p.m. Tickets are free for LVC students; $12 for adults; $7 for non-LVC students; $7 for LVC faculty; and $5 for children and seniors (children 10 and under, seniors 60+).
Written in the 1930's, You Can't Take It With You tells the story of a good-natured but decidedly eccentric family that makes a new friend. At first the Sycamores seem mad, but it does not take long to realize that if they are mad, the rest of the world is madder. In contrast to these delightful people are the unhappy Kirbys. The plot shows how Tony, attractive young son of the Kirbys, falls in love with Alice Sycamore and brings his parents to dine at the Sycamore home on the wrong evening.
You Can't Take It With You is under the direction of LVC senior Lisa Roberts, and stars senior Alyssa Bender as Alice Sycamore and freshman Andrew Ferrie as Tony Kirby.
