"We are delighted to welcome Daniel Lewis to the Board of Trustees," said FDU President J. Michael Adams. "His impressive record in several highly technical industries and his expertise in business and economic forecasting will contribute greatly to our mission."

Lewis retired as a senior partner with Booz & Company, the global management consulting firm, in fall 2009 after a career spanning three decades. At Booz, Lewis served as company president for a decade, served on the board of directors and led the company's practices in commercial business, worldwide operations, engineered products and consumer products. Lewis speaks regularly at major international conferences such as the World Economic Forum and at leading business schools. He has lectured and presented papers on operations management, business and economic forecasting, and materials management, and is a featured speaker at airline forums internationally. Consulting Magazine named Lewis to its 2004 list of the Top 25 Most Influential Consultants.

Before joining Booz, Lewis was a materials manager in Warner-Lambert's Consumer Products Group and was with Sundstrand, working in the machine tool and aerospace business.

Lewis received his MBA degree (1976) with a major emphasis on quantitative analysis from FDU's College at Florham. He also has an associate degree in aviation technology and a B.S. degree in industrial management from Purdue University.

Lewis received a Pinnacle Award, the highest award that FDU bestows upon its alumni, in 2009, and an honorary doctorate from Purdue in 2010.
