DANVILLE , IL (02/01/2012)(readMedia)-- Lakeview College of Nursing recently recognized students who received scholarships for the summer and fall 2011 semesters. About 80 students were awarded scholarships based upon academic merit and/or financial need, as well as the donors' wishes.

Lakeview offered 44 named scholarships through their own endowment. Additional scholarships were provided by the La Societe des Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux 40/8, the Danville Elks Blood Bank and the Danville Golden K Kiwanis.

Lakeview College of Nursing offers a bachelor of science in nursing degree. It is a single-purpose, private institution that has specialized in nursing education in the Danville, IL, area since 1894. Lakeview began offering a cooperative program with Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL, in the fall of 2001.
