Larry E. Thomas, the former CEO of Guitar Center and the Fender Music Corporation, will be recognized with an honorary degree at SUNY Potsdam’s Economic Fusion 2016 on Wednesday, April 20.

POTSDAM, NY (04/19/2016)(readMedia)-- The State University of New York at Potsdam will present Larry E. Thomas, the retired CEO of Fender Musical Instruments and Guitar Center, with an Honorary Doctor of Music degree tomorrow at Economic Fusion 2016.

As home to The Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam is proud to recognize Thomas for his long career in music business, as well as his legacy in arts education and philanthropy.

Larry Thomas is the keynote speaker for Economic Fusion 2016 at SUNY Potsdam, which will be held on Wednesday, April 20 in the Performing Arts Center.

There will be an opportunity for media to interview Thomas immediately following the ceremony, at 4 p.m. in the PAC Proscenium Theater.
