Lauren Bell Named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week

PLEASANTVILLE, NY (03/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Lauren Bell (New Windsor, NY/Newburgh Free) was named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week after batting .417 in a pair of doubleheaders. The Setters opened their 2012 season with sweeps over NYIT and Barton to start the season at 4-0.

Bell went 5-for-12 in four Pace wins as she went 3-for-6 in a twin bill sweep over NYIT as she blasted a grand slam homerun in the sixth inning. The Setters opened their North Carolina road trip with a sweep over Barton College as Bell recorded a pair of doubles and scored twice in the doubleheader.

The Setters return to action on Tuesday, March 13 when they will take on Fayetteville State at 3 pm.
