Lauren Schoelen Invited to Join FSU President Leadership Circle

FROSTBURG, MD (02/22/2013)(readMedia)-- Frostburg State University's President Leadership Circle invites Lauren Schoelen to be a member of the 2012-2013 President Leadership Circle. Qualifications for PLC include 75 or more credit hours completed, a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and proven demonstration of leadership on campus.

Schoelen, who comes from Mount Airy, is working toward a double major in law and society and political science with a minor in Spanish. She is the president of SafeRide and a member of Alpha Sigma Tau National Sorority. She is also on the Women's Lacrosse Team. Schoelen enjoys volunteering with her sorority to help build houses with Habitat for Humanity.

PLC students are working with FSU President Jonathan Gibralter and other FSU stakeholders for mentorship opportunities, including shadowing Gibralter at numerous official functions. In addition, PLC members will participate in the Sloop Institute for Excellence in Leadership in the spring and in an international experience. Past PLC students have visited Uganda, Dubai, the Czech Republic and Ecuador, among other destinations.
