HOUGHTON, MI (04/18/2013)(readMedia)-- Thadeus Sansom, a biomedical engineering major at Michigan Technological University from Lebanon, has been selected to participate in the 2013-2014 Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) in Germany. He is one of 75 students nationwide chosen from a pool of more than 600 applicants.

Sansom is the son of Ed and Jan Sansom of Lebanon.

The US Congress and the German Bundestag support the CBYX program. The experience is designed for students in science, technological, engineering and math (STEM) fields and in business, agricultural and vocational studies.

"I applied to CBYX because it would enable me to study, intern and live in Germany for an entire year," says Sansom. "Having been chosen, I feel honored, fortunate and excited all at once."
