Sammy Adams headlines Lebanon Valley College's ValleyFest 2013 with an April 20 concert

ANNVILLE, PA (03/27/2013)(readMedia)-- Lebanon Valley College will host rapper and recording artist Sammy Adams on Saturday, April 20 at 7 p.m. in the Arnold Sports Center as part of the annual ValleyFest weekend. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are required. LVC student tickets are $15; public tickets are $20.

Cambridge, Mass. native Sammy Adams began playing piano when he was seven years old and learned to improvise at age 11. His breakthrough single "I Hate College," a remix of Asher Roth's "I Love College," was posted on a blog in 2009 while Adams was attending Trinity College. After an encouraging response, Adams independently released his album "Boston's Boy" in March 2010 and his mix tape "Party Records" in September 2010. Since then, he has opened for artists such as Kid Cudi, Drake, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, Ludacris, and J. Cole and has performed 180 headlining shows in the U.S. and Canada over the past year.

Sammy Adams' concert is part of Lebanon Valley College's 42nd annual spring arts festival, ValleyFest, Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20, and is open to the community. The festival includes local arts and craft vendors, food vendors, musical acts, children's activities, games, and more. For more information, visit www.lvc.edu/valleyfest.
