Lebanon Valley College to Host Free Community Easter Egg Hunt

Egg hunt Sunday April 1 at 2 p.m. for children 12 and under

ANNVILLE, PA (03/23/2012)(readMedia)-- For the second time in its history, Lebanon Valley College's Circle K Community Service Club will host an Easter Egg Hunt for community members at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1. The event, to be held on practice football fields just north of the main campus, is free and open to the public.

Members of the club have prepared approximately 10,000 eggs which they will hide on the field in the hours before the start of the event. Children who attend will be divided into three different age groups: 0-3, 4-7, and 8-12. Because the hunt will commence promptly at 2 p.m., community members are asked to arrive between 1:30 and 1:50 p.m.

Most of the plastic eggs will contain small pieces of candy.

Parking will be available near the Arnold Sports Center not far from the practice fields. In the event of rain or inclement weather, the event will be canceled. An announcement will be posted to www.lvc.edu.

Circle K clubs are organized and sponsored by Kiwanis Club on college or university campuses around the world as part of Circle K International (CKI). The organization blends community service and leadership training with the opportunity to meet other college students around the world. Currently there are more than 12,000 Circle K members in 17 nations. Circle K hosts the event as part of their mission to enhance service, leadership, and fellowship within the local community in creative ways.
