Leia Ruth Boudet Inducted into Phi Beta Kappa at Wofford College

SPARTANBURG, SC (04/28/2010)(readMedia)-- Wofford College senior Leia Ruth Boudet was accorded Wofford College's highest academic honor Thursday, April 22, when she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

A South Carolina Palmetto Fellow, Boudet has received several scholarships including The William Brabham Scholarship, the Old Main Scholarship, the Claude M. Melton Scholarship, and the Lewis P. Jones Scholarship. She has served as a peer tutor, a tutor in the writing center, and as a Wofford Ambassador. Boudet was a fellow in Wofford's Community of Scholars program. A candidate for the B.A. with majors in English and history in May 2010, Boudet plans to teach for a year and then attend graduate school to study early modern English. Twenty-nine Wofford College students and recent graduates were initiated as members-in-course during the ceremony that marked the 69th anniversary of Phi Beta Kappa at Wofford.
