WATERTOWN, MA (01/20/2011)(readMedia)-- The "Darker Side of Green" will make its Boston debut at Lexus of Watertown from 6-8 PM on Monday, February 7 when the groundbreaking all-new CT 200h rolls out of its successful social media campaign and into the dealership's showroom. Lexus will unveil the sporty hybrid hatchback to Greater Boston Lexus shoppers and accept reservations for models arriving in March.

Lexus has started the new decade with a push toward "progressive luxury," revealing edgier designs combined with advanced green technology. The CT 200h is the embodiment of this initiative, offering 42 mpg combined, a base sticker price under $30,000 and a driving experience that delivers power and sharp handling.

Offering four driving modes (EV, ECO, Normal and Sport), the CT 200h earns 43 mpg in the city in ECO mode, when its electric engine does most of the work. When the traffic clears, drivers can switch to Sport mode and feel the rush of acceleration as the hatchback increases battery voltage, adjusts steering response and replaces the Hybrid mileage meter with a tachometer. With a center of gravity even with the driver's hips, independent front and rear suspension and speed-sensitive steering, owners will feel a strong connection to the car's movements as the CT 200h nimbly sprints through corners and straightaways.

The interior and amenities reflect the sophistication of the Lexus brand, offering a reminder that the innovative CT 200h is a luxury car, despite its affordable price. Standard equipment includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and display controls, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control and push-button start. Prices on optional extras, which include a moon roof, heated leather seats, LED headlights and a 10-speaker sound system, have also been kept low.
