Libertarians Offer Choice from Obama in NY

State Chair calls for shift in the electorate.

ALBANY, NY (10/30/2008)(readMedia)-- The Libertarian Party of New York has placed candidates for President on the ballot in New York since 1972. This time 2008 will not be the exception. Former Congressman Bob Barr will offer New Yorkers a choice from extended foreign occupations, bad government debt and corporate bailouts.

LPNY Chairman, Eric Sundwall continues;

" Obama is polling in the sixties in some New York polls. There's very little practical evidence that Democrats can produce change even if they control both houses of Congress and the Presidency. If New Yorkers want change from oppressive taxation, bailouts as handouts and a stop gap on lost liberties they should consider the Libertarian option."

The LPNY is running Isaiah Matos in NY's 14th Congressional district. Bill Buran is running for the 72nd Assembly District and has also been endorsed by the LPNY.
