Literacy Day for Local Ukrainian Refugee Students

A class of 25 junior-level primary (preschool-fifth grade) education majors brought the zoo to Ukranian refugee students at Grace Evangelical Christian School in Galloway, Ohio, through an animal-themed literacy day on March 27.

From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., each of the Cedarville teacher-candidates ran a different activity around the central theme of the zoo. Nine classes from grades kindergarten through third participated in these interactive activities designed to enhance literacy.
