Liz Encinia to speak at Campbellsville University chapel Feb. 27

Liz Encinia, executive director-treasurer of the Kentucky Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU), will speak at Campbellsville University’s chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (02/19/2019) (readMedia)-- CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Liz Encinia, executive director-treasurer of the Kentucky Woman's Missionary Union (WMU), will speak at Campbellsville University's chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

She has served in the position since August following Joy Bolton's retirement.

Chapel is free and open to the public.

Encinia was born and reared in Sinton, Texas and graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education. She is pursuing a doctoral degree in strategic leadership from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va. She anticipates graduating by 2021.

Encima previously served as the Missional Lifestyle Strategist for preschool, children and youth groups for the WMU of Texas.

Working at WMU of Texas, she developed a strategy to engage churches in missions and discipleship, and she served beyond the traditional programming by serving as a digital specialist by managing the WMU of Texas website, app and social media accounts.

Encinia has written several articles in national Women's Missionary Union publications.

She has participated in several initiatives through the Hispanic Baptist Convention.

Those initiatives include working with young Latinos to raise awareness for ministering to millennials in the Hispanic church and providing graphic design services for the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference.

Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.

All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10 and digital channel 23.0) and are streamed live on the internet at wlcutv.com.
