Liza Payne Named Outstanding Senior at William Woods University

FULTON, MO (05/17/2011)(readMedia)-- Liza Payne of Zionsville, Ind., received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Senior Award at William Woods University's recent co-curricular honors banquet. She is the daughter of Mark and Helen Payne.
The outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.
Payne is chapter president of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and has served as Panhellenic delegate, vice president of fraternity relations and vice president of chapter relations and standards.
She is chair of President's Twenty, a University Ambassador and president of Order of Omega Greek honor society. She is senior class president of the Student Alumni Council and served as class president as a freshman, sophomore and junior. She was also president and secretary of the Alcohol Revisions Committee of the Student Assembly. She is a member of Student Assembly and Campus Activities Board.
She has been a member of the CARDV (Coalition Against Rape and Domestic Violence) board of directors and Children's Miracle Network Intern. Payne has volunteered locally at trick-or-treat for Greeks, Up 'til Dawn program, a preschool, canned food drive, school supplies drive, cereal drive and clothing drive.
