Local Central Penn College student receives $1000 scholarship

SUMMERDALE, PA (08/20/2013)(readMedia)-- Kendra Elliott, an entrepreneurship and small business major from Lebanon, Pa., was one of two Central Penn College students to receive a $1000 scholarship at the Central Penn College Education Foundation's 42nd annual golf open on Friday, August 16. Elliott and James Gill, a business administration (management) major from Vineland, N.J. received their scholarships, which were sponsored by the Bill Gladstone Group of NAI-CIR, during the event at Rich Valley Golf in Mechanicsburg, Pa.

Elliott stated in her scholarship essay that she is "thankful to Central Penn and appreciates the academic standards the college upholds."

The foundation- a 501(c)(3) nonprofit-has awarded approximately 800 scholarships to Central Penn students since 2008.
