Local Church Helping Hardship Cases in Aftermath of Irene

Victory Christian Church in Albany to Help Displaced Victims of Irene

ALBANY, NY (09/02/2011)(readMedia)-- Pastor Charlie Muller and a team from Victory Christian Church in Albany will be assisting those hardship cases that fall into the category of NO HELP, because of no insurance and NO HELP from FEMA as well. "There are a large number of people who lost everything because of Irene and have been denied help from Agencies because they either did not have insurance, or the don't qualify for whatever reason." I have heard of a gentleman who owns a rental unit that was completely destroyed, but, because the house was a rental unit, he does not qualify for assistance. Now, this man who owns his home and uses the rent from those units to pay his taxes and mortgage is being denied. This is not right." Pastor Charlie

"We want to try to help these people in anyway we can." Pastor Charlie will be traveling throughout the week with the City Kids smoothie truck, serving smoothies and helping those in need. Today, he will be with the Tide Truck in Cobleskill, and on Saturday helping a flood victim clean out his apartment unit that displaced 4 families.
