WALESKA, GA (03/13/2013)(readMedia)-- Charity Neese, a resident of Jasper, Ga., will be honored as a 10 Under 10 during Reinhardt University's Talon Awards Gala on March 21, 2013, at Northside United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Ga. This annual event honors distinguished alumni and dedicated members of the Reinhardt family.
10 under 10 Description
Each year Reinhardt University recognizes a group of 10 alumni from the last 10 years (2002 - 2012) who have been successful in business, the military, nonprofits, government, and/or the arts. These alumni are recognized at the annual Talon Awards Gala in March. A picture identifying each will hang in the Student Center as a reminder of what Reinhardt alumni have accomplished.
Charity Neese '12 Background
After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelors degree in Music Performance, Charity was offered a staff position at Reinhardt's School of Music. She currently accompanies the Concert Choir and Chamber Choir under the direction of Dr. Martha Shaw, as well as accompanying student soloists. In addition to accompanying, Charity is the director of the North Georgia Homeschool Band's Teen Choir and Girls Vocal Ensemble. Charity is also a private piano instructor and a pianist at Bethel Baptist Church in Woodstock.
Charity was the winner of Reinhardt University's Concerto Competition in 2011. She is a member of Alpha Chi, Pi Kappa Lambda, and in 2012, was the first Reinhardt faculty/staff member to be inducted into the Reinhardt chapter of the professional music fraternity, Mu Phi Epsilon. Charity actively participates in sharing her music with the local community by being a regular performer for social events at the Soleil Active Adult Community and the Big Canoe Chapel's Ladies Guild. Believing that music was God's special gift to her, Charity strives to use it to glorify her Giver and to be a blessing and inspiration to all who hear her play.
