Susan Moore Pinson '04, a resident of Atlanta, Ga., will be honored as a 10 Under 10 during Reinhardt University's Talon Awards Gala on March 20, 2014, at The Bluffs in the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Conference Center in Canton, Ga. Pinson's Background
Pinson serves as Minister for Children & Older Adults at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta. After graduating from Reinhardt with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, she completed a Master of Divinity at Duke University and a Master of Social Work in gerontology at the University of North Carolina. Pinson serves on the Board of Directors for Senior Connections, Inc., the North Georgia Conference Camping & Retreat Ministry (Camp Glisson), and the Reinhardt Alumni Board of Governors. She has authored a publication in the Journal of Christianity and Social Work: Aging Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer's Disease: The Role of Christian Social Workers and the Church. She and her husband, Mathew Pinson '05, welcomed a daughter into their family on December 2, 2013.
10 Under 10 Description
The 10 Under 10 Award recognizes alumni who have graduated within the last 10 years and are successful in their professions. Portraits and information about the 10 Under 10 hang in the Hasty Student Life Center on Reinhardt's campus in Waleska, Ga. Each year a new group of 10 under 10 is selected.
