Local Residents Place in Debate Tournament

ORANGEBURG, NY (12/06/2011)(readMedia)-- The November 20, 2011 tournament of the Public Forum Debate League was hosted by Yeshiva University. Teams from CUNY-Baruch, Dominican College, Passaic Community College, SUNY-Rockland, and Yeshiva University competed in two divisions of 10 teams each.

Dominican College's team of Heather Eisenstadt of New City and Courtney Gorman of Suffern made it to the final round where they lost to CUNY-Baruch in a split decision. In addition to taking second place in the debating division, Heather Eisenstadt also took first place in the speaking awards for the division.
