MILTON , MA (03/26/2013)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that Mikey Joyce, son of Ann Joyce has been cast as Benny Southstreet in Curry College Theatre's Spring Musical, Guys and Dolls. A 2012 Dedham High School graduate, he has entertained audiences there in shows such as, The Drowsy Chaperone, No Exit, Sweeney Todd and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare. Mikey is thrilled to make his Curry Theatre debut in the classic musical, Guys and Dolls.

A fast-paced comic tale of Saints and Sinners; Gamblers and Gangsters, Salvation Army Sergeants and Show Girls, for five decades and counting, Guys and Dolls has tumbled its way across American stage, and into the hearts of millions of audience members, who invariably leave the theatre humming its tunes and still chuckling at the antics of its wild and zany characters. It takes the stage on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, April 20 through April 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Curry College, in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $5 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259 (Option 2).

Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 135 acres in Milton, MA. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth, MA. Curry offers 20 undergraduate degrees as well as graduate degrees in business, education, criminal justice and nursing, with a combined enrollment of approximately 4,150 students. The student body consists of approximately 2,000 traditional undergraduate students, 1,650 continuing education and 500 graduate students. More than 1,400 of its students reside on the Curry campus. The largest majors are business management, communication, nursing, criminal justice and education. The College offers a wide array of extra-curricular activities ranging from 14 NCAA Division III athletic teams to an outstanding theatre program.
