Local Student Joins the New Plays Festival at Curry College

MILTON , MA (10/09/2013)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that Exeter, RI resident, Michael Carnevale, son of Brenda and Al Carnevale, has landed a stage role in his first semester at Curry College. He will be playing the role of Lucas in Moonlite, in Curry Theatre's Black Box production of The Seventh Annual New Plays Festival. He is a graduate of Exeter West Greenwich Senior High School and is planning on majoring in Communication at Curry. Michael is very interested in theatre and has been seen in 13 and A Christmas Carol with The Academy Players, and The Wizard of Oz at St. Mary's Bayview Academy.

The Seventh Annual New Plays Festival, showcasing original student 5-10 minute one act plays, will run Saturday, Nov. 16th through Monday, Nov. 18th at 7:30 p.m. at Curry College, in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $10 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259 (Option 2).

Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 135 acres in Milton, MA. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth, MA. Curry offers 20 undergraduate degrees as well as graduate degrees in business, education, criminal justice and nursing, with a combined enrollment of approximately 4,150 students. The student body consists of approximately 2,000 traditional undergraduate students, 1,650 continuing education and 500 graduate students. More than 1,400 of its students reside on the Curry campus. The largest majors are business management, communication, nursing, criminal justice and education.
