MILTON , MA (10/09/2013)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that Winthrop, MA resident, Nicholas Doonan, son of Kathie Doonan, has landed a stage role in his fifth semester at Curry College. He will be playing the roles of Sam in The Pool Boy, and Jack in A Day in the Locker Room, in Curry Theatre's Black Box production of The Seventh Annual New Plays Festival. Later in the semester he will be playing the leading role in Mark Twain's Is He Dead. Nick currently serves as the Assistant Lighting Director for Curry Theatre's Supervisory Board as well as the captain of the improv team, Absolut Improv.
The Seventh Annual New Plays Festival, showcasing original student 5-10 minute one act plays, will run Saturday, Nov. 16th through Monday, Nov. 18th at 7:30 p.m. at Curry College, in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $10 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259 (Option 2).
Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 135 acres in Milton, MA. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth, MA.
