MILTON , MA (11/20/2013)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that Winthrop, MA resident, Nick Doonan has landed a lead stage role in his fifth semester at Curry College. He will be playing the lead role of Millet in Curry Theatre's Main Stage Production of the Mark Twain comedy, Is He Dead? Earlier in the semester, he played the roles of Sam in The Pool Boy and Jack in A Day in the Locker Room, in Curry Theatre's Black Box production of The Seventh Annual New Plays Festival. In previous semesters Nick could be seen on the Curry stage in Tartuffe, Woman in Mind, and Guys and Dolls. Nick is majoring in History with a minor in Theatre. He is currently serving on the Curry Theatre Supervisory Board as the Assistant Lighting Director.
Written by Mark Twain in 1898, but not performed until 2003, Is He Dead? is a farcical account of the real life and fictional staged death of French artist Jean François Millet. Is He Dead?, will run Saturday, Dec 7th through Tuesday, Dec 10th at 7:30 p.m. at Curry College, in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $10 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259 (Option 2).
Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 135 acres in Milton, MA.
