Local residents named to Dean's List at Grove City College

GROVE CITY, PA (03/24/2011)(readMedia)-- The following area residents were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2010 semester at Grove City College.

Katherine Brown, a junior Christian Thought major has been named to the Dean's List. Katherine is a 2008 graduate of Robinson Township Christian School and is the daughter of Mr. and Dr. Kenneth Brown from Harrisville, PA.

Abigail Marsch, a senior English major has been named to the Dean's List. Abigail is a 2007 graduate of Homeschooled and is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Glenn Marsch from Slippery Rock, PA.

David Marsch, a junior mechanical engineering major has been named to the Dean's List. David is a 2008 graduate of Homeschooled and is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Glenn Marsch from Slippery Rock, PA.

Ryan Berkstresser, a freshman mechanical engineering major has been named to the Dean's List with Distinction. Ryan is a 2010 graduate of Grove City Area High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Berkstresser from Slippery Rock, PA.

Anna Harp, a sophomore history major has been named to the Dean's List. Anna is a 2009 graduate of Grove City Area High School and is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Gillis Harp from Grove City, PA.

Michele Augspurger, a freshman applied physics major has been named to the Dean's List with High Distinction. Michele is a 2010 graduate of Grove City Area High School and is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Augspurger from Grove City, PA.

Daniel Straite, a senior communication studies major has been named to the Dean's List. Daniel is a 2007 graduate of Karns City Area High School and is a resident of Grove City, PA.

Heidi Miller, a junior elementary education major has been named to the Dean's List with Distinction. Heidi is a 2008 graduate of Grove City Area High School and is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs.Tracy Miller from Grove City, PA.

Samuel Potter, a freshman mechanical engineering major has been named to the Dean's List with High Distinction. Samuel is a 2010 graduate of Grove City Area High School and is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Eric Potter from Grove City, PA.

Brittany Beggs, a senior business management major has been named to the Dean's List with High Distinction. Brittany is a 2007 graduate of Lakeview High School and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Beggs from Sandy Lake, PA.

Jacqueline McCullough, a senior biology major has been named to the Dean's List with High Distinction. Jacqueline is a 2006 graduate of Lakeview High School and is a resident of Stoneboro, PA.

Julie Switzer, a sophomore French major has been named to the Dean's List with High Distinction. Julie is a 2009 graduate of Lakeview High School and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Switzer from Stoneboro, PA.

Students eligible for the Dean's List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean's List with Distinction a GPA of 3.6 to 3.84 and for the Dean's List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.00.

Grove City College has been listed as one of 100 "Best Value Colleges for 2009" by The Princeton Review. The Intercollegiate Studies Institute has named Grove City one of 50 All-American Colleges, ranking it high for increasing students? civic literacy. Grove City College has been named a Best Value and one of the best colleges in America by U.S. News & World Report. The Young America?s Foundation calls Grove City one of the Top Conservative Schools in the country. Founded in 1876, it is located 60 miles north of Pittsburgh, Pa.
