Steve Byers, director of student media, said of the awards: "Marquette student media is accustomed to winning awards, but these are special. For the first time, we have won awards for exclusively on-line material. We also won significantly more awards than usual, and I'm excited to see that we won awards for every branch of student media -- the Tribune, the Journal, MUTV, MU Radio and our Student Media Online."
All students will be honored, but they will not know if they receive gold, silver or bronze until the final results are announced at the Gridiron Awards Dinner on May 18. For more information about Marquette Student Media, visit http://go.mu.edu/mustudentmedia.
