Local student receives two Commencement Awards at Bryant University

SMITHFIELD, RI (05/21/2013)(readMedia)-- Garrett Holmes, of Franklin, received the following commencement awards at Bryant's 150th Commencement on Saturday, May 18:

• The Excellence in Applied Psychology Award for outstanding achievement in the study of applied psychology .

• The Excellence in Biology Award presented to a graduating senior in biology who has exhibited excellence in the classroom and research laboratory, shown care and concern about world health problems, and demonstrated a potential for outstanding contributions in the field of biological science.

Holmes was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Applied Psychology, summa cum laude.
