Lock Haven University Accepts Miranda McGregor to Online Master of Education Program

McGregor Accepted to MEd: Teaching and Learning Program with Early Childhood Education Concentration

LOCK HAVEN, PA (10/11/2011)(readMedia)-- Lock Haven University is pleased to announce that Miranda (Bauman) McGregor has been accepted into the LHU Master of Education Teaching and Learning program and the concentration in Early Childhood Education.

Lock Haven University's Online Master of Education program in Teaching and Learning is designed to provide in-service teachers and other education professionals with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge of instructional design, assessment, classroom management and technology integration.  The Early Childhood Education concentration enables students to increase the depth and breadth of their knowledge  and skills as early childhood educators. 

The program is fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation for Teacher Education and is aligned with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Jerry Falco, Assistant Director for Graduate Admissions at Lock Haven University notes that, "The online Master of Education programs are highly desired by working educators because they can pursue their graduate education at a schedule and pace that fits the demands of their personal lives."

A resident of Flemington PA, McGregor is the daughter of Charles and Vicki Bauman who reside in Lock Haven, PA.  Miranda is married to Chad McGregor and has three children Kyle, Evan, and Cade.  McGregor graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lock Haven University in 2008 where she completed the Bachelor of Arts, Early Childhood Education Program.  She currently works as a teacher at the Lycoming-Clinton Head Start.  She plans to continue her education, possibly to the doctorate level and eventually obtain a teaching position in a university setting.
