LOCK HAVEN, PA (10/26/2011)(readMedia)-- Charles M. Bromberg of Boca Raton, Fl. and Collegeville, Pa. was inducted into the Lock Haven University Roll of Service on Saturday, October 22. The Roll of Service ceremony is a signature event in the university's annual Homecoming celebrations.

The Roll of Service Award recognizes individuals not only for their years of service while employed at Lock Haven University, but for their continued dedication to the campus community after retirement. Roll of Service honorees support the university by sharing of their time and treasures, demonstrating a continued commitment to provide the best educational opportunities for Lock Haven University students.

In presenting the 2011 Roll of Service inductees, Lock Haven University President Michael Fiorentino Jr. stated that the inductees "became icons" at the university and, through their leadership, "set the bar high for the rest of us to follow."

Charles Bromberg is an emeritus of Lock Haven University, having served for 35 years. In addition to his duties as associate professor of speech communication, he provided his expertise on Roberts Rules of Order.

He identified changing notions of leadership and management styles and used them to improve training methods for LHU students. He also served as LHU's coordinator for Elderhostel. He served the community, particularly with the Rotary Club of Lock Haven and the Ross Library.

Mr. Bromberg earned both his B.S. and M.A. degrees from Temple University. He and his wife, Cyndee, divide their time between Boca Raton, Florida, and Collegeville, Pa.
