Loftin Woodiel of East Alton, Ill., added as Criminal Justice professor at Missouri Baptist University

ST. LOUIS, MO (06/06/2012)(readMedia)-- Several notable educators have been added to Missouri Baptist University faculty fall 2012.

MBU's growing degree programs and increasing enrollment have contributed to the expansion of some divisions and academic concentrations. Loftin Woodiel of East Alton, Ill., was appointed by the Board of Trustees February 2012.

Dr. Loftin C. Woodiel, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice – Woodiel's corporate background and experience in the Air Force and law enforcement lends to his knowledge of the criminal justice field. His accompanying academic credentials include an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice granted through the Air Force, a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Western Illinois University, an M.A. in Criminal Justice Administration and Management from University of Central Oklahoma, and a Ph.D. in American Studies from Saint Louis University. Woodiel has taught justice administration at MBU, sociology at Lewis & Clark Community College and law enforcement and security administration at Central Texas College. Woodiel is involved with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, American Criminological Society and FBI Citizen Academy Alumni Association among others.
