ST. LOUIS, MO (02/16/2012)(readMedia)-- A proven administrator in higher education is set to lead Missouri Baptist University's new program offerings in Southern Illinois.
Dr. Julia Schroeder, who most recently served as vice president for instruction at John A. Logan College, has assumed the role of director of Missouri Baptist University at John A. Logan College.
MBU currently offers bachelors degrees in criminal justice, applied science and behavioral science, along with the MBA and Master of Arts in Counseling programs, at John A. Logan. The partnership provides residents of Southern Illinois the opportunity to seamlessly complete a four-year degree or graduate program. MBU's regional learning centers couple affordability and accessibility with practical and rigorous coursework.
With more than 35 years of experience, Schroeder is a respected educator in Southern Illinois. She began her career in 1976 as a mathematics instructor at Benton High School in Benton Ill., before transitioning into higher education in the early 90s. Schroeder holds a doctor of philosophy and a master of science in mathematics from Southern Illinois University. She is currently pursuing a master of science in geoscience from Mississippi State University.
