Louis Lohraseb a Winner of SUNY Geneseo Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition

GENESEO, NY (03/30/2010)(readMedia)-- Louis Lohraseb from Schenectady, N.Y. (12306), a student at the State University of New York at Geneseo, was one of five winners of this year's concerto competition conducted by the college's symphony orchestra.

Lohraseb, a pianist, will perform his winning work, the allegro maestoso from Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major (K. 467), during the Geneseo Symphony Orchestra's spring concert April 11 on campus.

The Geneseo Symphony Orchestra is a collaboration among the best wind, percussion and string players in the student body at SUNY Geneseo and members of the music faculty, who coach, teach and perform in the ensemble. The orchestra conductor is James Walker, distinguished service professor of music at SUNY Geneseo.
