Lucas Watson Recognized as Outstanding Junior at WWU

FULTON, MO (06/07/2012)(readMedia)-- Lucas Watson of Louisiana, Mo., received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Junior Award at William Woods University's recent co-curricular honors banquet.

The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.

Watson is an active member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, chair of President's Twenty and president of Beta Beta Beta biology honor society. He is a member of Pre-Med Club, Student Financial Committee, Alpha Chi honor society, Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honorary, Order of Omega Greek honor society and serves as a mentor in WWU's Freshman Advantage program.

Watson has also been deemed a Novus Scholar for his research with Dr. Mary Spratt, as well as a Cox Research Scholar.
