BRISTOL, RI (02/25/2011)(readMedia)-- The musical farce, "Lucky Stiff," will make its Roger Williams University Theatre debut later this month. The plot-twisting musical follows an English shoe salesman forced to take the embalmed body of his murdered uncle on vacation to Monte Carlo in order to inherit $6 million. If he fails, the money will go to his uncle's favorite charity, the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn.
This family-friendly production is directed by Stephanie Dean, assistant professor of theatre, and features the talents of RWU students and faculty. Performances will run Feb. 25 and 26, and March 3 through 5 at 7:30 p.m.; and Feb. 26 and 27 at 2 p.m. All proceeds from the Feb. 26 matinee performance will benefit Friends of the Bristol Animal Shelter.
Performances will take place at the RWU Performing Arts Center located on the University's Bristol Campus at One Old Ferry Road.
