Lung Association to Honor Achievement in Lung Health on Earth Day
2010 Life & Breath Awards Gala Set for April 22nd
NEW YORK, NY (04/01/2010)(readMedia)-- The American Lung Association in New York will honor outstanding contributors to lung health at its annual Life & Breath Awards Gala scheduled for April 22nd. The Gala will be held at Gotham Hall in New York City and will feature dinner, dancing, an awards presentation and live and silent auctions. The event begins at 6 pm. All proceeds will support the Lung Association's mission to save lives by preventing lung disease and promoting lung health.

These honorees continue to make a difference in many lives."
This year's Life & Breath Honorees are: Tria Case, Esq., Director of Sustainability at the City University of New York (CUNY) and Executive Director of the Center for Sustainable Energy; Philip Marcus, MD, Chief, Division of Pulmonary Medicine, St. Francis Hospital; and Sean Swarner, two-time cancer survivor, published author, world-class athlete and founder of the CancerClimber Association.
The Life & Breath Awards Gala will be co-hosted this year by multiple award-winning actress and "Law & Order" star S. Epatha Merkerson, and WCBS-TV co-anchor of News 5 and 11, Chris Wragge.
