ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (01/16/2014)(readMedia)-- M&M Mars has partnered with the Elizabethtown College Department of Business to create an Executive Lecture Series geared toward bringing senior level executives from various industries to talk about their businesses and engage the audience in discussions about programs offered to their customers.

Chip Cargas, founder, chairman and CEO, Cargas Systems speaks on "Shared Success"
In 1988, in a corner of a bedroom in Lancaster, Pa., Chip Cargas launched a computer consulting firm. He started with big ideas and a small Macintosh SE computer with a 9-inch screen, dot matrix printer, desk, phone and answering machine. Today, Cargas Systems is a thriving business software company, with 54 employees, built on teamwork, customer care, employee ownership and shared success. Seventy percent of Cargas employees have purchased stock in the company, and the antique Mac is proudly displayed in the founder's office.

Thomas Waters, vice president and treasurer, Armstrong speaks on "Armstrong: A multi-national corporation and the pros and cons of a career in corporate finance"
Thomas J. Waters joined Armstrong and moved to Lancaster, Pa., in 1998 to take the role of manager, Capital Markets. Since then he has held the positions of director of Investor Relations, general manager of Finance for Building Products Europe (based in Uxbridge, UK), and general manager Financial Planning and Analysis for Flooring division. He was named treasurer in 2008 and added investor relations responsibilities in 2010. Prior to Armstrong, Waters worked for American Airlines in Dallas, Texas, in both corporate and operational finance roles.
A native of New York, N.Y., Tom earned a bachelor's degree from Binghamton (N.Y.) University and a master's degree from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Waters is on the board of the Lancaster Education Foundation, is a member of the Lancaster Township Planning Commission and on the investment committee for the New School of Lancaster.
