WHERE: Siemens Industry, 422 East Henrietta Road, Rochester
WHAT: Volunteers join Siemens employees to pick-up litter along the Canal and Canalway Trail from East Henrietta Road to Genesee Valley Park.
WHY: As part of the annual celebration of Earth Day, volunteers from nearly 100 organizations statewide team up with Parks & Trails New York, the New York State Canal Corporation, and the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation, to clean up and improve the lands around the Canal system, scheduled to reopen for navigation on May 1, 2012.
