RENSSELAER, NY (05/01/2019) (readMedia)-- On Thursday, May 2, at 1 p.m. EDT the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) will hold a media briefing to discuss Power Trends 2019, the organization's annual State of the Grid report.
This year's Power Trends describes the NYISO's role in shaping the future grid and the challenges associated with the increase in intermittent resources, like wind and solar. The briefing will also discuss innovative market design changes currently being considered by the NYISO and market participants to accommodate aggressive state environmental policies for decarbonization.
